Alfalfa's was found as a stray in Stephenville and never reclaimed. Alfalfa is a loyal companion who wants to be right next to you most of the time. While he may get a little excited on the leash initially and pull you around, he settles down quickly and walks well with some slack on the leash. Alfalfa will only stay in a heavy-duty crate for extended periods and will escape chain link fencing if left outside by himself. He's not fond of other dogs through the fence and prefers to be the only pet in the home, and he won't do well with cats. He does not seem to know English and won't respond to any commands but he has started responding to his name. As a Belgian Malinois, Alfalfa requires experienced owners familiar with the breed's high maintenance needs. Alfalfa is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm-negative and on prevention.
