Hi! My name is Luke and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! My story is a complicated one...I came to the shelter from an unfortunate situation. Due to my background, I am very under socialized. I am shy when I meet new people, and I am not leash or collar trained. However, I am the sweetest boy with lots of love to give. I will paw you to ask for more pets, but can get overwhelmed at times and may need space. I love to chew on bones and play with squeaky toys, and through my time at the shelter staff has noted my amazing progress. I am very silly and LOVE to spend time outdoors! I am eager to please and eager to receive attention, I just don't know how to ask for it and unsure how to trust new people before I get to know them. I have the best smile and the most loving, kind personality.I will need lots of work with my collar and leash training. I will need consistent and dedicated owners. But know that I will be the best boy with some work. My ideal home would be understanding of what I've been through, and willing to work with me. I'm unsure about other canine friends, and I've never met kitties, so a home where I can be the only animal would be preferred. I also would prefer to not live with any young children. I do require multiple meet and greets to ensure future adopters are aware of my personality. Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve.LUKE'S ADOPTION FEE: $200 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Luke and future pets at our shelter. Every adopter from Animal Allies receives a pet that has been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Our pets also receive dental work or other treatments when necessary. In addition, Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet!
